"I spend much of my coaching efforts challenging my client's assumptions and limitations." - Eric Kaufmann

Our blind spots are, by definition, invisible to us. Coaching is a powerful fit for smart, competent, and driven leaders who are seeking a change; a change they have been unsuccessful at attaining in spite of their best efforts.

We collaborate on three levels of learning:

First Level Learning: Improving performance goals through learning new skills and capabilities and incremental improvement; doing what you do, but better, faster and more often.

Second Level Learning: Focus on reshaping thinking and behavior to become less defensive, more open, and increasingly self-aware. This is where most individual and/or organizational change takes place. Questions such as, "What is going on here? What are the patterns?" uncover self-fulfilling, and self-defeating routines, and help teach that we can influence the system by our behavior.

Third Level Learning: Is a personal transformation that results from a shift in our context or point of view about ourselves. We all have beliefs about ourselves that are self-limiting and we all have blind spots about who we are and how we impact others.

Insight coaching synthesizes principles, insights and practices from business, psychology, philosophy, and personal & professional growth disciplines. It benefits those who are open, committed, and willing to make the necessary changes to grow, and to be successful personally and professionally.

"The purpose of insight and self-awareness is to change the nature of self-perception as a precursor to lasting behavior and relationship changes." - Eric Kaufmann

We support our client's change, growth, and performance by focusing on awareness, courageous action, and motivation in three dimensions:

Foresight – intelligent planning, future projections, and a focused strategy toward the mission

Insight – deep, honest, and objective assessments of current state, resources, and position

Hindsight – gleaning learning and wisdom from personal, organizational, and marketplace experience

Do we focus on personal or professional goals?

Experience has shown that personal and professional matters are interrelated and influence each other. Coaching aims at producing rewarding and lasting growth, that's why we address all client aspects- personal, professional, mental, and emotional.

Why is coaching so effective?

Coaching focuses on your strengths, uncovers your limiting beliefs and behaviors, and guides you to be empowered, successful, and self-actualizing.

Assumptions that Guide Insight Coaching:

  • People want to be competent and self-expressing
  • Reality is created in the moment; the past is instructive, the future indicative
  • Questions drive change more powerfuly than answers do
  • Effective execution requires clarity, structure, and support
  • Only when 'ready, willing, and able' can a person/system change
  • Cultivating 'signature strengths' is more effective than 'fixing weaknesses'
  • Paradigms of thought and belief limit or expand people's possibilities
  • Effective change in the future rests on a clear understanding of the present
  • Perseverance is more effective than force
  • The language we use creates our reality
  • Disruptive behavior is indicative of unmet needs
  • Change takes time and follows predictable phases
